Fort Worth ~ Robert V. Garcia, 92, a retired welder and security officer, family man, U.S. Army Veteran went to be with our Lord Thursday, March 21, 2019 in Fort Worth, Texas.
Graveside Service 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 1, 2019 DFW National Cemetery - Dallas, TX. Recitation of the Rosary will be Sunday March 31, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m on Sunday at Hawkins Family Funeral Home Chapel - Fort Worth.
Robert was born on July 17, 1926, to Ignacio Garcia and Louisa Villareal-Garcia-Martinez in Victoria, Texas. He was a very loving and caring person, who cared very much for his family. He enjoyed watching western movies and meeting friends for coffee and talking for hours with them. Robert never met a stranger, he had a tender heart for people, and it showed through his warm smile. He was a man concerned for others, especially for his family. He worked hard and cared for his family to provide for them. He always made sure they had what they needed and taught them to be the person they wanted to be and care for others as he cared for them throughout his life. His family and friends meant the world to him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Alfred Garcia, Arthur Garcia, Lalo Longoria
Those left to cherish his memory are his son Dale R. Garcia of Fort Worth; daughters: Misty G. Tazzoli & husband David of Lake Bluff, Illinois, Martha Meador & husband Thomas of Fort Worth, Norma Garcia of Victoria, Texas and Rudy Garcia of Victoria, Texas ; Grandchildren: Stephen Guerrero, Carson Tazzoli, Tristan Tazzoli, Cross Tazzoli, Wesley Meador, Regan Meador; his brother David Garcia; mother of his children Minnie Beltran and a host of family and friends.
