Ofelia Olvera

Ofelia Olvera 79, a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, went to be with her Lord and Savior
on December 3 rd , 2020 in Fort Worth, Texas.
Ofelia was born March 6 th , 1941 to Carmen Olvera and Enedina Navarrete in Mexico City.
Ofelia loved all types of music English and Spanish from Ranchera, to Baladas, Danzones, Salsa, Rock,
and Gospel music. She could dance just about anything; dancing was her favorite hobby. She loved
attending the Betesda Church in Fort Worth when she was in town. She loved to knit, create artificial
flowers, and she also loved to cook from scratch. She raised canaries and loved to have all kinds of
plants all over the house. She also loved to collect Little Homies, Disney figurines, Hot Wheels, and
stuffed animals.
During the elections in Mexico she was the leader of the district and made sure all the families in need
and elders received a monthly food donation, Christmas gifts, and/ or other household goods. She
worked very hard to make things happen, but her work didn’t stop there, she would help anyone that
knocked on her door regardless of who it was.
Ofelia was a loving mother and best friend to her daughters and grandkids. She loved spending time
with the family and enjoyed entertaining. She will be greatly missed!
Those left to honor and celebrate her memory are her brother Jesus Olvera, children; Laura Hernandez,
Carmen Hernandez, Francisco Guzman, Jesus Salvador Guzman, Rosalia Becquer, Rafael Hernandez,
Amada Serrano, 24 grandchildren, and 23 great grandchildren. As well as many extended family
members and a host of friends here and in Mexico.

Ofelia Olvera de 79 años, una madre amorosa, abuela, hermana y amiga fue a la presencia de su Señor y
Salvador el 2 de Diciembre del 2,020 en Fort Worth, Texas.
Ofelia nació el 6 de marzo de 1,941 a Carmen Olvera y Enedina Navarrete en la Ciudad de México.
Ofelia amaba todo tipo de música en inglés y español, desde ranchera hasta baladas, danzones, salsa,
rock y música Christiana. Ella podía bailar casi cualquier cosa; bailar era lo que más le gustaba hacer. Le
encantaba asistir a la Iglesia Betesda en Ft. Worth cuando estaba en la ciudad. Le gustaba mucho tejer,
crear flores artificiales y también le encantaba cocinar comidas auténticas. Crió canarios y le encantaba
tener todo tipo de plantas por toda la casa. A ella también le encantaba coleccionar Little Homies,
figuritas de Disney, Hot Wheels y muñecos de peluche.
Durante las elecciones en México, ella fue la líder del distrito y se aseguró de que todas las familias
necesitadas y los ancianos recibieran una donación mensual de alimentos, regalos de Navidad y / u otros
artículos para el hogar. Trabajó muy duro para que las cosas sucedieran, pero su trabajo no terminaba
allí, ella ayudaba a cualquiera persona que tocara su puerta sin importar quién fuera.
Ofelia era una madre cariñosa y la mejor amiga de sus hijas y nietos. Le encantaba pasar tiempo con la
familia y disfrutaba del entretenimiento. La vamos a extrañar muchísimo!
Para honrar y celebrar su memoria quedan su hermano Jesús Olvera; e hijos, Laura Hernandez, Carmen
Hernandez, Francisco Guzman, Jesus Salvador Guzman, Rosalia Becquer, Rafael Hernandez, Amada
Serrano, 24 nietos y 23 bisnietos. Así como muchos miembros de la familia extendida y una gran
cantidad de amigos aquí y en México.
