Melanie Lynn English

Melanie Lynn English, 63, a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, was called to be with the Lord on June 1st, 2020.

Melanie was born June 10th, 1956 to Bill Shelley and Mary Jo Harris in Amarillo, Texas. She attended Doxology Bible Church in Fort Worth. She worked at Texas Health Resources as a Human Resource Director in Arlington and retired after 26 years. Melanie was also on the Board of Directors for the Battered Women’s Shelter in Fort Worth. Melanie was described as “a ray of sunshine” by many and always had a smile on her face. She enjoyed softball, cooking, golfing and fishing. She was a huge football fan and loved the Dallas Cowboys.  She was very family oriented and would do anything to help others in need. She will be greatly missed.

She is proceeded in death by her parents

Those left behind to honor and celebrate her memory are her husband, Gerold English of Saginaw, TX; her brother Greg Shelley and wife Susan of Houston, TX; her daughters, Meredith Wiley of Evening Shade, AR; Alissa Miller and husband Zach of Tyler, TX, Denise Barley and husband Chris of Keller, TX, Mechele Chapman and husband Scott of Fort Worth, TX, Toni Bradfield and husband Kyle of Flower Mound, TX, Amanda English and husband David Williams of Fort Worth, TX, Jenny Huong and husband Tom of Orlando, FL; 18 grandkids and 3 great- grandkids;  as well as many other extended family members and a host of friends.
