Maria Esther Rodriguez 77, of Fort Worth went to be with the Lord on August 30, 2023, in Fort Worth, Texas.

Maria was born to Refugio Salazar and Pilar Abalos on January 30, 1946, in Hondo, Texas. She met and married the love of her life Valdemar Gomez, together they started their journey of life, raising their children and traveling the world. Maria was always busy and had numerous hobbies that consisted of sewing, baking and camping. She found pleasure in shopping at thrift store, garage sales and boutiques, you never know what treasures she might find. She also enjoyed being with family and spending time with them. She will be greatly missed and forever treasured and held in their hearts.

Maria is preceded in death by husband of over 38 years Valdemar Gomez, Her parents Refugio Salazar and Pilar Abalos, her sisters Gloria Aguillon and Linda Bailey, Great granddaughters Trinity Faram, Opal Gomez and her Daughter in law Victoria Gomez.

Those left behind to honor and celebrate her memory are her husband Eddie Salazar of Fort Worth; her daughter Virginia Hesselbrock and Jim Hesselbrock and Irene Gomez Arauza both of Fort Worth; her sons Ricky Gomez of Fort Worth, Larry Gomez Jr. of Arlington, Larry Gomez Sr. & Wife Deidra Gomez and Valdemar Gomez Jr.; Step Kids Gabriel & Priscilla & Tori Salazar her grandchildren Elizabeth & Brad Faram, Brittany Hesselbrock, Angelica & Omar Diaz, David & Norma Arauza, Mark Arauza, Heather Gomez, Donovan Gomez & Bryonna Pledger, Priscilla Zeller, Ignacio Gomez, Seferina Martinez and Dolores Gomez; her great grandchildren Brentley Faram, Oliver & Owen Edwards, Sebastian & Luca Diaz, Nova & Benjamin Arauza, Bailey & Darious Gomez, Skylar & Cora Gomez, Isabella & Giovanni Martinez and Vera Garza; Her siblings Ruben Abalos and Delia Barrera; Along with numerous extended family member and a lots of friends.
