Leopoldo " Polo" Puente, 81

El lunes 20 de Febrero del 2023 Leopoldo Puente partió de esta Tierra para estar con su Señor y Salvador en Fort Worth, Texas. Aunque perdimos a un maravilloso padre, abuelo, bisabuelo, tatarabuelo, hermano, tío, primo y querido miembro de la familia, nos consuela saber que está en paz y con su verdadero amor.

Leopoldo nació de Baldomero Puente y Andrea García el 15 de Noviembre de 1941 en San Lorenzo, Buenaventura, Coahuila, México Leopoldo era un espíritu generoso, muy trabajador, responsable, amble y siempre tuvo como objetivo ayudar a los demás en cualquier necesidad. Fue firme en su fe y eligió vivir su vida en honor a su Salvador, Jesucristo. El Poseía un profundo amor por su esposa, Alice, sus hijos, nietos, bisnietos, y tataranietos. Su devoción por su familia siempre fue evidente y lo mostraba en su sonrisa resplandeciente y entusiasmo cada vez que sus hijos y nietos venían a visitarlo. Sus pasatiempos consistían en preparar y cocinar diferente alimentos, su especialidad era los tamales y así se le conocía como (El Señor de los Tamales), eran los mejores en el área. En su juventud fue policia en Mexico un carnicero, boxeador, techador, ranchero, un verdadero vaquero de corazón, no había nada que no hiciera y lo hiciera bien. También le gustaban los deportes, especialmente los Texas Rangers y los Dallas Cowboys, ya sea viéndolos por televisión, pero lo que mas disfrutaba era ir al estadio y mira los en persona. Lo extrañaremos mucho y siempre estará en nuestros corazones y recuerdos. 

Leopoldo le precedieron en la muerte sus padres, sus hermanas Cipirana Puente de Martínez y María Antonia Puente De La Rosa. 

Los que quedan para honrar y celebrar su memoria sus hijos María Puente de Bustos esposo Margarito, Idalia Puente esposo Salomon, María Antonia Puente de González esposo Jorge, Juanita Puente de García esposo Nicolás, Baldomero Puente esposa María de los Ángeles, Margarita Pérez esposo Celio, Leopoldo Puente Jr. esposa April, Christopher Puente esposa Stephanie;  y numerosos hijastros que el amo y crió; sus 26 nietos, 46 bisnietos y 3 tataranietos; sus hermanos, Efrain Puente, Francisca Puente de Perez, Juanita Puente de Torres, Rodolfo Puente; Junto con numerosos miembros de la familia extendida y una gran cantidad de amigos.

On Monday February 20, 2023 Leopoldo Puente left this Earth to be with his Lord and Savior in Fort Worth, Texas While we lost a wonderful father, grandfather, great grandfather, great great grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and beloved family member, we take comfort knowing he is at peace and is with his true love.

Leopoldo Puente was born to Baldomero Puente and Andrea García on November 15, 1941 in San Lorenzo, Buenaventura, Coahuila México. Leopoldo was a generous spirit, with a strong work ethic and always aimed to help others in their time of need. He was steadfast in his Faith, and purposefully chose to live his life in honor of his Savior, Jesus Christ. He possessed a deep love for his wife, Alice, his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. His devotion to his family was always evident in his glowing smile and eagerness anytime his children and grandchildren came to visit. His pastimes consisted of making and cooking food, he was known as the ‘Tamale Man”, they were the best around.  He was a police officer in Mexico a butcher, boxer, roofer, handy man, rancher, true cowboy at heart, there was nothing he didn’t do and do well.  He also enjoyed sports, especially the Texas Rangers and Dallas Cowboys either watching them on TV or his all round favorite was going in person to the stadium. He will be greatly missed and forever in our hearts and memories.

Leopoldo is preceded in death by his loving wife Alice Puente, both his parents Baldomero and Andrea Puente, his sisters Cipirana Puente de Martinez and Maria Antonia Puente De La Rosa,

Those left to honor and celebrate his memory are his children Maria Puente de Bustos husband Margarito, Idalia Puente husband Salmon, Maria Antonia Puente de Gonzalez husband Jorge, San Juana Puente de Garcia husband Nickolas, Baldomero Puente wife Maria de los Angeles, Margarita Perez husband Celio, Leopoldo Puente Jr. wife April, and Christopher Puente wife Stephanie; and numerous stepchildren he loved and raised; his 26 grandchildren, 46 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren; his siblings Efrain Puente, Francisca Puente de Perez, Juanita Puente de Torres, Rodolfo Puente;  Along with numerous extended family members and a host of friends.
