Lauro Salas Serrano, 97, of Fort Worth a father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend went to be with the Lord Thursday March 10, 2022 in Fort Worth, Texas.
Lauro was born to Lauro Salas Orozco and Maria De Los Angeles Serrano on November 5, 1924 in Villa Insurgentes, Zacatecas, México. He had spent his life working in agriculture working the crop fields and growing many different crops along with raising cattle. Lauro was united in marriage to the love of his life Maria Concepcion Ortega Meza for many years until her passing. He was a simple, warm-hearted man, a deep believer in his faith, who lived a happy and peaceful life. He loved his family and enjoyed his time joking around with them every chance he had. He will be missed greatly but he is now with his love in heaven.
He was preceded in death by his wife Maria Concepcion Ortega Meza and son Tomas Salas.
Those left behind to cherish his lifetime of memories are his kids Hugo, Claudia, Manuel, Etelberto, Ernesto, Concepcion, Carmen, and Luz Maria Salas; his 24 grandkids, 32 great grandkids and 5 great-great grand kids; his siblings Teresa Salas Serrano and Maria Guadalupe Rodriguez; Along with many extended family members and a lifetime of friends.
Lauro Salas Serrano, 97, de Fort Worth padre, abuelo, bisabuelo y amigo partió para estar con el Señor el jueves 10 de marzo de 2022 en Fort Worth, Texas.
Lauro nació de Lauro Salas Orozco y María De Los Ángeles Serrano el 5 de noviembre de 1924 en Villa Insurgentes, Zacatecas, México. Paso su vida trabajando en la agricultura trabajando en los campos de cultivo y tambien la cría de ganado. Lauro se unió en matrimonio al amor de su vida María Concepción Ortega Meza por muchos años hasta su fallecimiento. Era un hombre sencillo, de buen corazón, un profundo creyente en su fe, que vivío una vida feliz y tranquila. Unos de sus pasatiempos favoritos cuando era joven era platicar con los señores de la oficina Ejidal. Amaba a su familia y disfrutaba su tiempo bromeando con ellos en cada oportunidad que tenía. Lo extrañaremos mucho, ahora está junto al amor de su vida en cielo.
Le precedieron en la muerte su esposa María Concepción Ortega Meza y su hijo Tomás Salas.
Los que quedaron para apreciar los recuerdos de su vida son sus hijos Hugo, Claudia, Manuel, Etelberto, Ernesto, Concepción, Carmen y Luz María Salas; sus 24 nietos, 32 bisnietos y 5 tataranietos; sus hermanos Teresa Salas Serrano y María Guadalupe Rodríguez; Junto con muchos miembros de la familia extendida y toda una vida de amigos.
