Joseph Ervin Parsons, 51

Joseph Ervin Parsons, 51, a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and friend passed away on December 14, 2022 in Fort Worth Texas after a short but difficult battle with cancer.

Joe was born on April 23, 1971 to father, Gordon Parsons and mother, Patricia Messerly in Blackfoot Idaho.  Joe was the youngest son of 6 siblings.  Life experiences led him to Texas which is where he found love with Laura. From the moment they met 17 years ago, they were inseparable, and you rarely saw one without the other.  Joe and Laura were joined in marriage and began working together on his pilot car business. 

Joe enjoyed the challenges that the trucking industry presented and was fascinated with the different equipment and clientele he encountered on each job.  He loved working his pilot car business, he loved the drivers he worked with as well as exploring the new places each job would take them. 

He was a private man, but he was considered fair and straightforward and had earned the respect of everyone he encountered.  Anyone would agree that if Joe was there, you were secure and in his care.  He liked to teach and share any knowledge that he had gained over the years and usually had the most effective and efficient methods to do just about anything. 

Joe was truly one of a kind, a family man, and a true friend with an adventurous heart. He enjoyed trucks, boating, fishing, skiing, riding motorcycles and exploring the woods and mountains. He looked forward to the yearly camping trips he spent with his wife, children, grandbabies, and friends who he loved sharing adventures with and cherished dearly.  He made sure to take the time to visit any family or friends when he was in their area of the country, he made time to visit his mother as often as possible and no matter the distance or weather, Christmas was their holiday together.

Joe effortlessly made his family feel happy and secure. He has 9 grandbabies who were all very special to him and they all adored their "Grandpa Joe".  He will be greatly missed and will forever remain in the hearts of his family and friends.

Joe was preceded in death by his father Gordon Parsons and brother Roland Parsons.

Those left to honor and celebrate his memory are his loving wife Laura Parsons of Fort Worth; his children Amanda Peterson (Mark) of Cresson, Texas, Jeremiah Devine (Angel) of Canton, Texas; his grandchildren Aiden, Serina, Johnathan, Stormy, Braylon, and Nevaeh; his bonus grandchild Maizie; his mother Patricia Messerly (Fred) of Malta, MT; his 2 brothers and 2 sisters, along with numerous extended family members and a host of friends.
