James Marvin Erwin, 88

James Marvin Erwin, 88 went to be with The Lord on Wednesday May 31, 2023 in Blue Mound, Texas.

James was born on October 11, 1934 to William Joseph and Lillian Maree  in Hempstead, Arkansas. On April  11, 1995 in Cleburne, Texas James married the love of his life Dixie Carol Morgan and started their life together. James dedicated his life to the transportation industry as a trucker driver. He enjoyed many pastimes such as reading western books, listening to songs by his favorite artist Merl Haggard and gardening vegetables. However, his all-around favorite hobby was fishing, especially bass fish. James was a family man his support and encouragement will always be their rock. He will be greatly missed, and his family will forever cherish the memories they have had with him.

He is preceded in death by both his loving parents and his siblings Joyce, Ruth, Carolyn, Frances and Bill.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of over 28 years Dixie Carol Erwin of Fort Worth;  his children Barry King of Fort Worth and Dennis  Dorsett and wife Becky of Cypress, Texas; his grandchildren, Jacob, Timothy, Melissa, Micki, and Elizbeth; his great grandchildren, Kinley, Zoe, Sapphire, Layne, Arriez, Anthony and Emerick; his sister Betty Jo Evans and his brother Bo Erwin both of Arkansas;  Along with many other extended family members and a host of friends.
