Fort Worth ~ Hipolito Galvan Rivas, 67, retired from Lynn Smith Chevrolet, was a husband, father and grandfather, went to be with our Lord Tuesday July 9, 2019 in Fort Worth, Texas.
Visitation & Rosary: 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., Recitation of the Rosary 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 13, 2019 at the Hawkins Family Funeral Home- Chapel.
Hipolito was born on August 13, 1951 to Salvador Rivas Padilla and Maria Galvan Piñales in Mexico. He was united in marriage to Maria (Zamora) Rivas on February 13, 1982 in Decatur, Texas. He was a very loving and caring person, who cared very much for his family. He enjoyed being outdoors and over-seeing the beauty of countryside scenery, he enjoyed dancing especially to his culture Mexican folk music. Hipolito was known as “El Hombre de Negro” for wearing the color black as his signature attire. His hobby was riding horses and taking pictures & videos at family and friends’ events.
He was proceeded in death by his parents, brothers: Salvador Rivas Galvan, Alberto Rivas Galvan; granddaughter Josie Clarissa Ortiz
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 37 years Maria Zamora Rivas of Fort Worth; his daughters: Miriam Rivas Valles and husband Geovani of River Oaks, TX and Rosa Rodriguez Jasso and husband Luis of Bridgeport, Texas; his son: Hipolito Rivas Jr and Melissa Smith of Fort Worth, TX; daughters: Michelle Rivas and Raymundo Burgos of Fort Worth, TX and Melissa Rivas of Fort Worth; Grandchildren: Bianca Rose Valles, Bridget Nicole Ortiz, Jose Ortiz, Aaliyah Ortiz, Arabella Rivas, Abigail Burgos, Isaiah Rivera, Jade Rivas, Jasmine Rivas, Jason Rivas, Ebony Kimbella Rivas; His Brother Humberto Rivas Galvan and wife Odila Martinez; Sisters: Maria Enriqueta Romo Galvan, Sanjuana Duran Galvan, Maria Felizita Romo Galvan and a host of extended family and friends.
