George Edward Moreland

George Edward Moreland 78, a husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend went to be with the Lord on December 17, 2024 in Benbrook, Texas.  

George was born on July 30, 1946 to Clifford Don Moreland and Bonnie Vaughn Siever in Des Moines, Iowa. He married Kathryn Robinson from Gainesville, Texas in 1965. George joined the Navy on June 23, 1966 and was honorably discharged in 1974. He worked at KMVideo Solutions as a contractor for 20 years. George enjoyed traveling all over which is why he and his wife created the bucket list of visiting all 50 states which they accomplished and took many pictures along the way being that he loved photography. He also enjoyed working on stained glass, computers, his plants and fishing any chance he was able to. George’s memory will be greatly missed and cherished but he will always be with his family as they go through life.  

George is preceded in death by his parents Clifford Don and Bonnie Vaughn, brother Doug and sister Deborah Roby.  

Those left behind to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 59 years Kathryn Robinson of Benbrook; his daughter Karin Kontak of Benbrook; his sons Lewis Moreland and wife Lacey of Fort Worth and son Brandon Moreland and wife Maribel of Fort Worth; his grandchildren Kelsey Towne and husband Zack of North Richland Hills, Kaitlyn Cade and partner Mary of Waco, Kaleigh Hernandez and husband Angel of Benbrook, Tori Howard of Ontario Canada, Riley Moreland of Gainesville, Austin Garza of Fort Worth, Austin Moreland of Sweetwater and Abby Moreland of Cleburne; great-grandchildren Corey Hernandez, Henry Cade, Milo Towne, Laylah Steeves-Howard and numerous extended family and a host of friends.
