Floyd Steven Tidwell Sr., 73 went to be with The Lord on Saturday, March 25, 2023, in Fort Worth, TX.
Floyd was born on December 3, 1949 to Floyd W. Tidwell and Maree Blizard in Dallas, Texas. After graduating from Mac Arthur High School, he went on to serve our country by joining the US Navy. After the US Navy he went on to work for the Tarrant County Sherriff’s Department and in the transportation industry as a trucker driver. He enjoyed many pastimes such as fishing, playing his steel guitar, driving his corvette, riding “Skully” his Harley Davidson and messing with old cars and trucks. He had a strong heart in serving others, being outdoors with his dog, sweet “Sophie” and staying busy gardening. He will be greatly missed and forever in the families’ memories.
He is preceded in death by both his loving parents.
Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Bryan Benson and wife Elizabeth of Oklahoma, Melissa Brown and husband Patrick of Fort Worth, Floyd Tidwell Jr. and wife Maricela of Fort Worth, Minette Christina Tidwell of Fort Worth, Texas; his grandchildren, Kaitlen , Ashley, Reagan, Hannah, Audree, Deanna, Robert, Rebecca, Darius, Derek, Jasmine, Jackson Patrick Jr. Michele and Telissa; his great grandchildren Cohl and Alaia; his brother Frances Campbell of Mansfield, Texas; and of course, his sweet dog “Sophie”. Along with many other extended family members and a host of friends.
