Betty King

Betty Frances King, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend passed away on December 26, 2021 in Fort Worth, Texas.

Betty was born to Roger Magness and Leota Rudd on July 4, 1937 in Brownwood, Texas. She was happily united in marriage to Bill Cephas King on August 27, 1997 until his passing. She dedicated her life to the Texas Health Department for over 25 years until her retirement in 2000. Her church family at First Baptist Church White Settlement played a big role in her life. She loved the Lord with all of her heart, enjoyed family time and watching sports. Betty stayed close to her roots in West Texas where she and her parents were from, as well as the ranch that she shared and worked with her late husband. Betty was a kind and giving woman who loved her family and cherished every moment with them. She will be greatly missed by many.

Betty was preceded in death by her loving husband Bill Cephas King, her parents Roger Magness and Leota Rudd and her brother Billy Doyle Magness.

Those who are left to honor and celebrate her memory are her sons Jerry Orvig of Lindale, Joe C. King of Gorman and Billy W. King (Sandra) of Fort Worth; her grandchildren Tonia Orvig-Velasco (Hugo) of White Settlement, Spencer Orvig of Cincinnati, Brayden Orvig of Cincinnati and Glenn C. King (Maggie) of Keller; her great grandchildren Zander, Zane, Zoe, Robert, Celia, Travis and Layne; her great- great granddaughter Ava; her sister in-law Christell Magness of White Settlement as well as numerous extended family members and a host of friends.
