Beckie Rowland Campbell, 70, wife, mother, memaw,and best friend went to be with the Lord on January 30, 2024, in Fort Worth, Texas.
Beckie was born November 18, 1953, in Dallas, Texas to LaDelma Jenkins and Charles Rowland. Beckie and her older brother, Danny, had a simple, happy childhood. In high school, she loved being on the drill team and was a member of the first graduating class of Skyline High School in Dallas, Texas in 1972. Beckie married the love of her life, Jeffrey Campbell, on October 20, 1973, in Dallas,Texas. They grew up together, then old together, and celebrated 50 years of marriage this past fall.
Beckie worked in retail sales until opening Lone Star Fudge, a gift shop in Plano, Texas. Beckie was a homemaker with an exceptional eye for home and holiday décor. Beckie was talented and creative, enjoying arts and crafts particularly stained glass, and often selling her creations at craft fairs. She was a collector of antiques and “treasures,” as she called them. In her retirement years, she described herself as a professional memaw, spending most days with her grandchildren or traveling and bible journaling with her friends.
Beckie radiated an infectious joy with her constant smile and laughter. She loved people with a remarkable ability to make those around her feel like her best friends. She enjoyed family gatherings and reunions, kept close relationships with extended family, and amassed thousands of family photographs. Beckie was an angel to several loved ones as she cared for them in their final days. Her love and laughter will be greatly missed by her familyand friends who look forward to a reunion with her after this life.
She is preceded in death by her parents Charles Rowland, LaDelma
Jenkins Rowland, Gene Pope, Linda Williamson Fox, and John Fox; sister Janet Owens.
The family legacy she leaves behind are her children, Brian Campbell and wife Jennifer from Bonham, Texas; Melanie Garlington and husband Todd from Weatherford, Texas; Drew Campbell and wife Sarah from Fort Worth, Texas; as well as her grandchildren: Caleb Long, Zoe Campbell, Brady Campbell, Emily Putnel, Evyn Campbell, Oaklen Davis Campbell, Kierstan Rosser and husband Colin, Aaron Garlington, Kenton Padigimus and wife Katelyn, Ella Padigimus, Lance Padigimus, Alexis Garlington; her great grandchildren: Jax and Motley; her brothers: Danny, Chris, and Scott; her sisters: Julia, Christy, Karen, Sydney; along with numerous extended family members and dozens of friends.
Beckie loved flowers so in her memory the family wold like you to please send flowers.
