Alice Gearldine Scott Puente

   Alice Gearldine Scott Puente, 84, of Fort Worth, a wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend went to be with the Lord Sunday February 6, 2022 in Fort Worth, Texas.

   Alice was born to Andrew Eddie Scott and Alice Mable on April 8, 1937 in Denton, Texas. She was united in marriage to her love of her life Leopoldo Puente on February 18, 1971 in Monclova, Mexico. Family was her everything, she always cooked for her family and made sure they always had a home to come to whenever they wanted. When Alice was growing up she was a true country girl between the work in the cotton field, hauling hay and raising pigs. She would enjoy sitting on the front porch watching birds in nature and singing while picking the fiddle any chance she had. The involvement in The Assembly Of God Church and strong faith gave her the ability to sing and pray plenty. God, Family, Singing, Cooking and praying were what made her life full and provided her happiness, which give her family and friends many memories to cherish. She will be greatly missed by her loving family.

   Those who preceded her in death were her parents; her daughter Rebecca Ann Grant; her siblings Eddie Bernice, Marbelle Matheson, Shirley Chesteen, Andrew Eddie William Scott and Austin Ray Scott.

   Those left behind to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 50 years Leo Puente; her kids Shielah Ruth Lantrip of North Richland Hills, Ricky Earl Grant of Aubrey, Terry Lee Grant of Fort Worth, Norman Gregory Grant of Fort Worth, Calvin Silas Grant of Tennessee, Margarette Perez of Fort Worth, Leopoldo Puente Jr of Godley and Christopher Puente of Fort Worth; Her Grandkids;Her siblings Betty Darlene Gray of Gainesville and Glenda Ann Robles of Gainesville; Along with numerous extended family member and a host of friends.
