Albert Lloyd Hickman 81, a husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend made his final transition to his new Heavenly Home on October 14, 2024,in Fort Worth, Texas.
Albert was born on October 18, 1942, to Edwin Lloyd Hickman and Mary Ellen Fowler in Lexington, Oklahoma. He married Dorita Kay Dodd on November 21, 1980, at Lakeview Baptist in Fort Worth. Albert was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather who was a family man through and through. He was happiest when he was with his family. Travel was a big part of Albert and Dorita's lives, they loved traveling through all 50 states and many, many foreign countries. A few places they especially enjoyed visiting was Jordan/Petra and Israel with their church family. Albert was the Manager of the Budget and Financial Analyst Department for the U. S. Postal Service for 30 years. Albert was a member of Glenview Baptist Church in Fort Worth, Texas. He was the family historian. He traced the family history back to Colonial America. He will be deeply missed.
Albert was preceded in death by his parents Edwin Lloyd and Mary Ellen Hickman; and his brother Kenneth Hickman.
Those left behind to ()cherish his memory are his loving wife of 44 years Dorita Hickman of Fort Worth, Texas; sons, Arnold L. Hickman and wife, Valerie of Denison, Texas, Randal Hickman and wife, Karri of Durant, Oklahoma; his granddaughters , Laci Hodgkins and husband, Sean of Sherman, Texas and Lauren Newman of Denison, Texas; his grandsons, Tracey Hickman and wife, Melissa of Kingston, Oklahoma and Zachary Hickman and wife, Angela of Muskogee, Oklahoma; his great-grandsons, Ian Hodgkins of Sherman, Texas, Maddox and Miles Newman of Denison, Texas, Wesson Hickman and Witten Albert-Stephen Hickman of Kingston, Oklahoma, Woodrow Edwards of Kingston, Oklahoma and Jace James and his great-granddaughter, Isabelle James of Muskogee, Oklahoma; along with numerous extended family members and a host of friend's.
Albert was involved with the church and this organization meant a great deal to him. It was his wish that friends and family would donated to Mission India at Glenview Baptist Church, in lieu of flowers.
